Here comes Peter Cottontail

We had a very fun and family oriented weekend! We went to Hilltop Friday to eat for Hunter's birthday. I got crawfish! I've only had one crawfish in my life and it was last summer when I was pregnant...the spices made me sick! However, I thought I would give 'em another try, and they were pretty tasty!

On Saturday Mom, the girls, and I went to Enterprise to get SC some Easter shoes and hair bow! Then, we went to Ronnie's parent's home to spend time with them and have an Easter egg hunt. Later Saturday night, we went over to Gregg and Meredith's brand new house! We "broke in" their new stove by making tacos! Once we got home, we colored eggs and Ronnie helped me box up the maternity clothes in my closet to give back to my cousins! I must say, it was nice to get rid of them!!!

* I saw this idea (using a whisk) in a magazine, and it really worked! SC was able to place the eggs in the cup and check on them without making a huge mess!

Sara Catherine did not go to sleep until one o'clock!! Ronnie's mom gave her Alice in Wonder Land for Easter, and she watched the whole thing and then wanted to watch the Disney channel in our room! She woke up at 6:30 and asked if the Easter Bunny had brought her anything?! Of course he did! She was super sweet and helped open Caroline's basket as well! Since she got up so early, we actually weren't rushing around to get ready for church!


After church, we went to Mom's, took pictures, and got ready to go to Pleasant Home to have Easter lunch with my family.


Once we left there, we headed back to Opp and went to the Smithart's home for another Easter egg hunt!


Last, we went to our friends', Jeff and Michelle, house to hunt more eggs and eat dinner!



We had a very busy Easter weekend, and it was so nice to be with family and friends! Even though it was a busy weekend, we still took time to reflect on the whole reason we celebrate Easter! I thank our Lord for sending His son to die on the cross for my sins and defeating death! He is Risen and Alive!
